What is your connection to the UW Carbone Cancer Center?
Growing up in Madison, it is hard not to witness first hand the University’s impressive pedigree in its cancer care and forward-looking investments and commitment to research. I have had several people in my life that have been impacted by cancer and also treated at the UWCCC. Most recently my mother-in-law was treated at the UWCCC and her experience couldn’t have been better. From the excellent nursing and clinical staff all the way to personnel dedicated to making sure her patient experience along her care pathway was easily navigated, the UWCCC was an integral part of her achieving remission, which happened in early 2023.

What is your favorite ELB / UWCCC event?
Other than the Andy North trivia, which is a flagship event for the ELB, as an avid golfer I have to say any of the charity golf outings, which give me a chance to help out a good cause and do one of the things I love to do, play golf! Specifically, I have really enjoyed the TR McKenzie charity golf outing, which takes place every summer.

What is something interesting about you?
I have three children Camilla (9), Charles (7), and Leo (3) who keep my wife Michelle and I very busy. When not coaching them on their respective hockey teams (Go Middleton Cardinals!), we enjoy watching football together in the fall and golfing together in the spring and summer months.

Where is your favorite vacation spot?
Say it with me….Jamaica!! This is my family’s favorite spot to go for sunshine, beach, and umbrella drinks. My wife Michelle and I were also married in Ocho Rios in 2012 and we try to go back as often as we can. It is truly a special place.

Steak with a nice bourbon.
