What is your connection to the UW Carbone Cancer Center?
Like many others, I’ve had first and second hand experience with friends and family going through battles of various forms of cancer. Personally, I have been diagnosed with Melanoma twice in the last 4 years. And while I haven’t received treatment through UW CCC, it has sparked my interest to become more involved in the fight against cancer.

What is your favorite ELB / UWCCC event?
New member, but likely will be a fan of the lab tours.

What is something interesting about you?
I have never broken a bone in my body, though I probably just jinxed myself.

Where is your favorite vacation spot?
Too tough to say – I love to travel. I would say a tie between the Virgin Islands and Maui – beautiful places with great people. Right up there is anywhere in the Rocky Mountains since I love to ski, camp, and hike. Last year in Jackson Hole we had ~50 inches of snowfall in the 7 days of our trip and it was a dream for a skier!

Everyone has a guilty pleasure.  What is yours?
Italian food and espresso. I can’t turn down pizza or pasta and really enjoy trying new espressos/coffees in new places when I’m traveling.
